- Alternatively: Select a provided case study as a basis for your work
- End-to-end application of AI methods to the selected cases: from identification and documentation to the validation of requirements
- Individual feedback from the trainer and group discussion
Consists of the following modules
- AI4RE Micro-Credential
- AI in Requirements Engineering in Practice
Day 1 combines concise theoretical input with short, practical exercises that allow you to immediately apply what you’ve learned. You’ll work hands-on with the latest AI tools and apply techniques such as prompt engineering to typical RE scenarios. The results will be collected and discussed together on a Miro board.
Please ensure that you have an account with at least one of the following providers: OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), or Microsoft (Copilot).
Day 2 is a practice-oriented workshop day: You will work on a continuous case all day under supervision—either with your own artifacts («Bring Your Own Case») or with a provided case study. Short prompts and trainer feedback will guide you through the process. The results will be recorded on a Miro board and reflected upon together. You decide for yourself what to share with the group—your own artifacts remain confidential.
If you're interested in earning the IREB® AI4RE Micro-Credential and want to apply your knowledge of requirements engineering and AI to your own use cases, then you've come to the right place:
- Requirements Engineers: You capture, analyze, and document requirements. You’ll learn how to use artificial intelligence tools to improve your work.
- Business Analysts and Business Engineers: You work on analyzing and modeling business requirements. You’ll understand how artificial intelligence tools can support your analyses and requirements.
- Product Engineers: You’re involved in product development. You will learn how artificial intelligence optimizes requirements and development processes.
- Systems Analysts and Test Managers: You specialize in testing. You will learn how artificial intelligence tools can efficiently support you in designing test cases and analyzing test coverage.
- Software Developers and Project Managers: You work in development or project management. You will strengthen your skills in requirements management and project planning through the targeted use of artificial intelligence tools.
- Quality Managers and IT Consultants: You work in quality assurance or as an IT consultant. You will expand your understanding of the importance of requirements in quality assurance and learn to apply artificial intelligence tools to optimize these processes.
To get the most out of this training, a basic understanding of requirements engineering is helpful so that you can place the use of artificial intelligence in the proper context. We recommend taking the «IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering – Foundation Level» course as a prerequisite.
In addition, basic knowledge of information technology is an advantage.
It is essential that you are open-minded and willing to engage with new technologies and concepts and to integrate innovative approaches into your daily work.
To ensure you can get hands-on experience during the course, we recommend setting up a free account with at least one popular AI tool before the course begins, such as OpenAI ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot.
AI4RE Micro-Credential
You can demonstrate your knowledge with the AI4RE Micro-Credential—another asset to add to your resume.
Before the training begins, you will receive a voucher and the link to register for the exam from Certible.
After registering, you will receive the login credentials for Certible’s self-service portal, where you can flexibly reschedule your booked appointment—there are no deadlines to meet, and no additional costs apply.
