Focusing on data integrity, this module covers the importance of trustworthy data, the characteristics and differentiation of Model, Asset, and CI records, and the role of Discovery, CMDB, and Normalization Data Services in maintaining data accuracy.
3 Practical Management
This module covers the practical management of hardware assets, including lifecycle management, handling consumables, managing stockrooms, automated population (import), and the processes for asset retirement and lifecycle automation.
4 Operational Integration
This module details the operational aspects of asset management, focusing on reporting, procurement, automating stock levels using catalogs and requests, mobile applications, and extending asset configurations and ensuring data accuracy.
5 Strategic Conformance
The final content module addresses strategic financial and contractual aspects, including managing hardware contracts, understanding contract financials, explaining depreciation and fixed assets, and calculating the total cost of ownership (TCO).
6 Course wrap-up
This module concludes the course by summarizing the outcomes, providing additional resources, and detailing the purpose and availability of the hands-on Hardware Asset Management simulator.
In this three-day interactive training, you will work directly within your own ServiceNow instance—a secure sandbox equipped with realistic demo data.
Using a continuous real-world scenario, you will deepen your knowledge through a mix of expert insights, interactive discussions, and intensive hands-on labs. To conclude the course, you will activate your personal simulator, which remains available to you for an additional two weeks. This allows you to solidify your expertise in ServiceNow ITSM and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) under real-world conditions, perfectly preparing you for implementation in your daily work.
