1 ServiceNow – The Modernized Work Experience
This module introduces the ServiceNow Platform, covering the class scenario and key applications like ITSM, Service Operations Workspace, and Employee Center.
2 Explore the Power of the ServiceNow Platform
You will learn how to configure a ServiceNow instance, including installing applications and plugins, and understanding the value of a baseline implementation.
3 Configure Applications for Business
Focus is placed on configuring lists, forms, applications, and modules in the core environment to align with specific business needs and comparing it to Service Operations Workspaces.
4 Manage Data
Dealing with the ServiceNow database architecture, this section covers data management concepts such as CMDB functionality, import sets, access controls, and the Common Services Data Model.
5 Configure Self Service
Self-Service configuration is explored through managing the knowledge base, creating catalog items with Catalog Builder, and utilizing Workflow Studio for flows.
6 Enable Productivity
Maximizing efficiency involves supporting Agents and Fulfillers, creating visualizations and dashboards, and configuring notifications using platform analytics.
7 Package Enhancements for Testing
Learners will prepare and migrate changes using update sets, along with evaluating the use of UI policies, business rules, and scripting for enhancements and testing.
8 Securing a ServiceNow Instance
The security of a ServiceNow instance is addressed by reviewing the Security Center Overview Dashboard and adjusting Hardening settings and Best Practices.
9 Capstone Project
Finally, the Capstone Project allows for practicing all concepts from the course and continuing professional development with additional exercises.
The course is a mix of impulse sessions and discussions of real-world system administration scenarios. For the duration of the course, you will receive your own sandbox instance to practise what you have learned in various practical lab exercises, allowing you to learn and expand on general concepts and skills.
This class is for people who will be configuring the ServiceNow platform.
This course is NOT designed for people who will be creating and working tickets for their IT, HR, Field Service, or other jobs.
Upon completion of the course, ServiceNow recommends gaining at least two to three months of practical experience before taking the «ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)» exam. This ensures that you consolidate your knowledge and are optimally prepared.
