3 Interactive Project Crisis Simulation
- Initial Scenario: A Project at Risk with Limited Resources
- Crisis Events: Budget cuts, supply disruptions, and conflicts
- Decision-making rounds involving time pressure, new information, and changing conditions
- AI as a sparring partner during the simulation
4 Evaluation and Application in Practice
- Decision-making processes and their effects throughout the simulation
- Individual feedback on strengths and areas for improvement
- Strategies for handling crisis situations in your own projects
In this one-day simulation training, you'll experience an interactive project crisis. You'll make decisions under realistic conditions and use AI strategically to support you.
The following methods will guide you through the process:
- Brief theoretical overviews: You’ll receive an introduction to crisis situations, decision-making under uncertainty, and the targeted use of AI
- Interactive crisis simulation: You’ll manage a project at risk and respond to unexpected events, time pressure, and conflicting information
- AI-supported decision-making: You’ll use AI as a sparring partner to contextualize information, develop alternative courses of action, and critically evaluate decisions
- Reflection and feedback: Together with the group, you’ll analyze your decisions and their consequences. In the process, you’ll receive feedback on your decision-making behavior
- Practical application: You’ll apply your insights to specific challenges in your own day-to-day project work
This training is designed for experienced project managers who handle complex project situations, make decisions under uncertainty, and want to use AI strategically as a support tool.
Target job roles:
- (Senior) Project Managers
- Subproject Managers with independent decision-making authority
- Program Managers and those responsible for complex projects
To participate in this training, you must meet the following requirements:
- Practical experience in leading or managing projects, as well as in making decisions in challenging project situations
- A good understanding of fundamental project management methods and processes
- A willingness to actively participate in an interactive crisis simulation and to critically reflect on your decision-making behavior
Basic knowledge of generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) is a plus, but not required. You do not need formal project management certification.
