Exam Preparation in Business Analysis according to IIBA® (CCBA® / CBAP®) («IIBA»)

This exam preparation training is based on the official BABOK® Guide 3 of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) as well as the specific exam requirements as defined in the current IIBA® exam manual.

In preparation for the course, we recommend that participants read the BABOK® Guide v3 in full.

The Digicomp course materials are a mix of German and English. The technical vocabulary and concepts are in English, the explanations are in German.

All areas of knowledge relevant to the BABOK® exam are systematically taught in order to prepare participants specifically for the CBAP®/CCBA® exam.

The course combines theoretical understanding with practical learning methods and shows how the knowledge can be applied efficiently in the exam and in everyday professional life. Participants learn how to structure complex topics, quickly grasp the relevant concepts and use tried-and-tested learning strategies to close knowledge gaps in a targeted manner.

Personal learning progress is ensured through regular reflection phases and individual feedback from the trainer.

This exam preparation training is aimed at all those who want to prepare for the international business analysis certification according to IIBA® - Certification of Capability in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®) and Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®).

The following target groups are particularly addressed:

• Business analysts with at least 3-5 years of practical experience in business analysis projects
• Professionals from the fields of business transformation, IT analysis or process management

Several years of practical experience in business analysis and an understanding of the tasks and methods of a business analyst are required to attend the course.

The following requirements must be met in order to take the «Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA®)»:

• At least 3,750 hours of professional experience in the field of business analysis in the last 7 years
• Within these 3,750 minimum hours, at least 900 hours must be completed in 2 of the 6 knowledge areas of the BABOK® Guide OR at least 500 hours in 4 of the 6 knowledge areas of the BABOK® Guide
• Completion of at least 21 hours of professional development within the last 4 years
• Submission of appropriate references 
• Passing the exam

To be able to take the «Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®)» certification, the following requirements must be met:

• At least 7,500 hours of professional experience in business analysis within the last 10 years
• Within this experience, at least 900 hours must be completed in 4 of the 6 knowledge areas of the BABOK® Guide, totaling at least 3,600 of the required 7,500 hours.
• Completion of at least 35 hours of professional development in the last 4 years
• Submission of 2 references
• Acceptance of the Code of Conduct
• Acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions
• Passing the exam

After completing the course, participants register independently for the certification exam at the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®). We recommend taking out an IIBA® membership before the training. With the IIBA® annual membership ($139 USD) you benefit from a discount on the examination fees and can download the BABOK® free of charge.
