We live in an era in which large amounts of data are not unusual, but part of everyday life. It is no longer possible to analyse, visualise and interpret this data correctly using the simple tools of Microsoft Excel alone. To achieve our goal of dynamic, clear and meaningful dashboards and KPI reporting, we need a variety of analysis techniques and tools, whether desktop apps or cloud-based solutions.
This multi-day course focuses on analysing, structuring and automating large volumes of data, and visualising them in the context of controlling.
The course package consists of four modules:
Module 1: Microsoft Excel for Controllers (EBX)
In this two-day Microsoft Excel course, you will learn how to use Excel optimally for your controlling tasks. A large selection of relevant Excel functions, methods and options for your financial management practice will be developed.
Module 2: PivotTables and Data Analysis with Excel (MEPT)
In this one-day Microsoft Excel course, you will learn how to analyse and evaluate your data using sorting and filter functions as well as PivotTables and how to visualise your data effectively with PivotCharts.
Module 3: Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Basics (VBGLN)
In this two-day seminar, you will learn the fundamental basics of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming in Microsoft Office applications. The focus is on VBA in Excel, although other Office apps are also touched on.
Module 4: Microsoft Power BI in Controlling (PBICGL)
In this one-day controlling course, you will learn how to use Power BI to connect and transform various data sources and then convert them into a dynamic dashboard or standard reports, as well as how to assign roles and authorisations.
This is not a beginner's course. You should have a good knowledge of Excel, especially of formulas and functions. It is also an advantage if you have a basic understanding of the tasks of a controller.
