- Understanding the architecture and key terms of TCP/IP networks, as IP addresses, routing, name resolution and many more
- Gaining hands-on skills on how to deploy, configure and troubleshoot networks, focused on TCP/IP
- Knowing and having practical experience with methods and tools used to accomplish technical work in TCP/IP networks (Windows and Linux)
- Understand technical concepts and architecture of computer networks and the TCP/IP protocol suite, including the layering model of the TCP/IP stack
- Real experience (gained in practical exercises) on how to install & configure networks and TCP/IP on actual computer systems (Windows, Linux)
- Hands-on knowledge about Ethernet, IP, Routing, DHCP, ARP, DNS, NAT, Firewall etc.
- Hands-on knowledge about methods and tools to analyze and troubleshoot networks, including using traffic capturing tools (Wireshark)
Theory follows practical exercises not vice versa.
The course is based on practical exercises, done in an individual, cloud-based, multilingual exercise environment with virtual computers (Windows & Linux).
Learning through shared experiences among participants is explicitly encouraged.
Online participation is fully possible, all learning materials are provided in our LMS (Digicomp Learn).
This course is aimed at professionals working in technical IT as technicians, junior system-administrators as well as career-changers and newbies who need to earn basic technical of TCP/IP.
