This workshop provides a practical demonstration of how Nextcloud can be evaluated, operated, and integrated into existing Microsoft 365 environments as a sovereign open-source platform.

You’ll learn through hands-on experience using your own Nextcloud instance. The course also includes brief theoretical overviews, live demos, and guided exercises.
The installation is performed on pre-configured lab devices. The trainers will cover strategic topics (identity, integration, migration) as concepts using live demos.
In the virtual version of the course, the lab is conducted using provided remote instances.
For IT managers, IT leaders, IT architects, system engineers, and technical decision-makers who want to evaluate or implement a robust open-source alternative or complement to Microsoft 365.
Particularly relevant for public administrations, regulated industries, and organizations with high requirements for data protection, data sovereignty, and compliance.
Basic IT and infrastructure knowledge is a plus (working with the command line, network fundamentals).
Prior knowledge of Docker is not required – the lab environment will be set up, and the necessary container basics will be covered in the workshop.
Software versions: Nextcloud 34 (Hub), Nextcloud Office (Collabora Online) – Docker-based lab. All software used in the course is open source.
