Key Learnings
  • Describing the Cisco SD-WAN Overlay Network and the differences between legacy WAN and SD-WAN modes of operation.
  • Describing options for SD-WAN Cloud and on-premises deployments, as well as for deploying virtual vEdge and physical cEdge devices with Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and device templates
  • Describing best practices in WAN routing protocols and how to configure and implement transport-side connectivity, service-side routing, interoperability, and redundancy and high availability
  • Describing dynamic routing protocols and best practices in an SD-WAN environment, transport-side connectivity, service-side connectivity, and how to achieve redundancy and high availability in SD-WAN environments
  • Explaining the migration from Legacy WAN to Cisco SD-WAN, including typical data center and branch office scenarios.
  • Explaining how SD-WAN operations are performed on day two, such as monitoring, reporting, logging, and updating
Content

You will learn best practices for configuring data center and branch routing protocols and how to implement advanced control, data, and application-specific policies. The course also covers SD-WAN deployment and migration options, controller placement, WAN edge device deployment, and Direct Internet Access (DIA) breakout configuration. The course covers the various Cisco SD-WAN security options available, such as application-specific enterprise firewall, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), URL filtering, Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP), Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) Proxy, and Cisco Umbrella® Secure Internet Gateway (SIG).

Topics:
