Course facts
- Explaining and implementing Vibe Coding in the Power Platform
- Assessing the differences between code apps, SPA in Power Pages, and Generative Pages
- Deriving use cases in line with technology
- Hands-on creation of first Generative Pages
- Meaningful use of AI in the development process (prompting, iteration, feedback loops)
Code Canvas Apps, Single Page Apps in Power Pages, and Generative Pages: Recognize the strengths of each technology and learn how AI accelerates the development process.
This course will get you up to speed with vibe coding in the Power Platform—the prompt-driven development style with AI. Instead of a fixed scenario, we will work with participants to develop a use case, which we will then implement and compare using three approaches:
- Code Canvas Apps: Pure code-based apps developed directly in the Power Platform. The trainer will demonstrate the setup and procedure, and participants will contribute their ideas.
- SPA in Power Pages: Single page applications for external users. Due to the complexity, this is a guided demo by the trainer – with joint discussion on architecture and use cases.
- Generative Pages: Hands-on! Participants create their own pages with AI support. Layout, logic, and interaction are created through generative prompting.
Showcase instead of full reveal: We demonstrate the workflows and results, but abstract complex integrations.
- Vibe coding basics – Principles, roles, anti-patterns
- Use case definition – together with the participants
- Code Canvas Apps (Code Apps) – Showcase with trainer setup, architecture, and logic design
- SPA in Power Pages – Guided demo & discussion
- Generative Pages – Hands-on with AI support
- Comparison & reflection – Strengths, limitations & possible combinations
- Conclusion & transfer – Lessons learned, feedback, next steps
