PMI publishes the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) as its primary resource and certifies Project Management Professionals (PMP).
The PMP® certification is the most prestigious and widely recognized credential in project management worldwide. The certification is suitable for project managers with several years of experience who have a solid understanding of project management methods in both theory and practice.
The cost of CAPM® certification is $225 for members and $300 for non-members. The cost of PMP® certification is $405 for members and $655 for non-members. PMI® has announced that all exams worldwide will be administered through Pearson Vue.
Recertification Requirements: The certification is valid for three years. No additional exam is required, but you must earn 60 (PMP) or 15
(CAPM) PDUs (Professional Development Units) within the three-year cycle. PDUs are measured in hours. You can earn them through various activities, such as participating in courses or projects. There is an online reporting option for this on the PMI® website. You can find more information here.
