With our partner Credly, we are awarding digital badges, which confirm your attendance in further education and your newly acquired skills. After the end of the course, you will receive your badge directly from Credly, which confirms your new knowledge. This gives you an easy way to manage the courses you have visited, share your new skills and verify them.
What is a digital badge?
Badges are nothing more than a digital certificate for your competencies. Badges do not only consist of a picture but also contain more information about the skills you have acquired during the course you have attended. Interested people, colleagues or companies (e.g. human resource) can give you more information about your skills and show your skills even more appealing, e.g. in social media channels such as LinkedIn and Facebook or in your email signature.
Why use digital badges?
It is not easy to adequately represent acquired skills and competencies – be it on social media or on résumés. With the badges, you can demonstrate your competencies credibly and with lots of additional detailed information on the acquired knowledge.
How do you get your digital badge?
As soon as Digicomp issues you a badge, you will receive an email notification from Credly (admin@credly.com). It explains how to accept your badge and how to set up your Credly account. There are no costs associated with the badge for you.
Important
The badges issued by Digicomp confirm your participation in the course, but not the successful certification completion. For example, if you are participating in the Advanced Federal Diploma for Web Project Managers at Digicomp, Digicomp may only confirm that you have attended the training course, but not that you have successfully passed the Swiss diploma exam. The responsible audit committees are responsible for this.

Is there a fee for using Credly?
No. Credly is a service that we provide to you free of charge.
What should prevent someone else from copying my badge and using it for themselves?
Badges are simple digital image files, but they are clearly linked to data hosted on the Credly platform. This link to verified data makes badges more reliable and secure than a paper-based certificate. It also prevents someone from claiming your credentials and your associated identity.
Where and how can I share my badges?
You can share your badges directly from your Credly profile on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. You can also forward the badge via email, insert it on your website or in your email signature.
Can I export badges issued through Credly to other badge platforms?
Yes, you can download your badge from the «Share Badge» page. The downloaded badge contains Open Badge Infrastructure (OBI) compliant metadata. This allows you to store your badge on other OBI-compliant badge websites, such as Mozilla backpack.
Can I import badges issued by other platforms into my Credly profile?
Unfortunately, this is not possible so far.
I have a question about the Credly platform. Where can I find more help?
