Dr. Mirko J. Helbling, MBA, is a cybersecurity and technology expert with over 12 years of experience in the defense and financial sectors. He specializes in security strategies for highly critical and regulated environments and combines strong leadership skills with in-depth technical expertise to translate complex challenges into sustainable business solutions. His technical foundation is based on an MSc in IT Security from Ruhr University Bochum. He possesses practical expertise in security architectures, Zero Trust, cloud and container platforms, and secure development processes. Most recently, he served as Director at RUAG AG in various areas of ICT and cybersecurity. Previously, as Head of Cyber Defense and Senior Advisor, he led the development of SOC and CERT structures, incident response, and the implementation of standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI-DSS.
He holds internationally recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor.
