Jasmin Kruezi, born in 1991 in Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is an interactive and media artist. He studied audiovisual media in Stuttgart and has worked as a video master at Schauspielhaus Zürich since 2019. In many of the theatre projects, Kruezi himself is on stage and works with live cameras.
Kruezi's work includes 3D visuals, live videos, interactive media, VJ shows, web content, audio-technical installations, music and sound design. For his films ("Dr. Heidegger's Experiment" (2023, e.g. Best Experimental Short Film at Athvikvaruni International Film Festival and nominee at Giffoni Shock and Stockholm City Film Festival) and "Proximity" (2019, e.g. Official Selection at 17th Athens Digital Arts Festival, Berlin Student Film Festival and finalist at Gagarin.Doc International Student Film Festival)) he often uses strong stylisations such as pixel art or reduction to RGB colours. Despite the technically complex means, such as 3D animations, live video and VR, the focus of his work remains on the narrative. Ideally in such a way that viewers see themselves as part of the story being told or are actively involved.
He is also the founder of the media label "Youth & Rain", which specialises in narrative electronic music projects and experimental films and video works.
