Tips and strategies for your SSM certification.
The course covers the official SAFe® curriculum.
We believe it is important that you can apply what you have learned immediately.
- Theory & practice: The training consists of a combination of compact theoretical input and interactive exercises that ensure the transfer of knowledge into your everyday working life.
- AI integration: We use AI as a targeted method. We discuss how managers can use AI strategically to improve data-driven decisions in portfolio management.
- Tools: In our online and hybrid training courses, we work with Miro or Conceptboard as our central collaboration tool to ensure seamless cooperation.
- Learning success: Short recaps and regular learning objective checks reinforce the material immediately.
- Exam preparation: To ensure you are confident going into the certification, we go through the logic of the exam questions together.
This course is ideal for you if you find yourself in one of these roles:
- Team leaders & department heads: You lead teams and want to learn how to promote self-organization instead of just assigning tasks (moving away from «command & control»).
- Project leaders & project managers: You are reorienting yourself and want to understand how your job is changing toward «servant leadership» in an agile context.
- Scrum Masters: You are moving to a SAFe environment and need to master new terms (e.g., planning interval) and scaling mechanisms.
- Release Train Engineers (RTEs) & Agile Coaches: You want to consolidate your basic knowledge or expand your portfolio of methods.
- Managers: You want to understand how you can support teams more efficiently through optimized flow (Kanban).
There are no formal requirements for participation in the course.
Experience in project management and/or IT and especially with Scrum / Kanban is advantageous.Familiarity with the concepts and principles of Agile is also recommended.
Knowledge of SAFe is not mandatory in this case. Leading SAFe is recommended to have received an introduction to the framework.
After attending the course you will receive access to the SAFe Scrum Master exam.
Upon passing the exam, the participant receives the «Certified SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM)» certification of the Scaled Agile Academy.
Exam format: Multiple choice, web-based, no aids, questions: 45, pass rate: 33 of 45 (73%), duration: 90 minutes.
The exam is held in English.
Experience has shown that seven to ten hours of independent study are required to successfully pass the exam. Our trainers will prepare you optimally for the course and will also be on hand to answer your questions afterwards.
This training is conducted in German and English by our training partner AgileMinds; in French by Ahead Technology.
